Setting up your Display Screen Equipment correctly to enhance and support posture
  • Sit with your back straight so that it is supported by the chair's backrest. Your shoulders should be relaxed and not hunched forward.
  • The top of the screen should be at or slightly below eye level, and the screen should be about an arm's length away from you. If you have multiple screens, ensure they are at the same height and distance.
  • Your elbows should be at a 90-degree angle and your forearms parallel to the ground, with your wrists straight and in line with your forearms.
  • Position your mouse and keyboard so that they are directly in front of you. This prevents unnecessary twisting of your body and well help to keep your shoulders in a more neutral position. Using a mini keyboard is highly recommended due to their reduced width. This enables the mouse to be in a more central position and avoids unnecessary shoulder strain.
  • Your feet should be flat on the floor or on a footrest, with a gap between your knees and the chair. Your knees should also be at a 90-degree angle with your thighs parallel to the ground.
  • Ensure there is minimal glare on the screen to prevent eye strain. Use blinds or position your screen to avoid direct sunlight or overhead lights reflecting off the screen.
  • Take regular breaks to stand up, stretch, and change your posture to avoid stiffness and discomfort. Aim to take a break every 30-60 minutes.
